COLUMBIAN 10 VAN BUREN 9 VAN BUREN – Breanna McNutt doubled, singled and drove in four runs, and Columbian held on for a 10-9 win at Van Buren. The Tornadoes – who came in 0-7 – scored six runs in the fifth inning. They led 10-8 going to the seventh. Van Buren’s Jordan Patton doubled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in three runs. Audrey Riegle went 4 for 5 at the plate – including a double – and also drove in three runs. The Tornadoes used three pitchers, with Gabby Shock getting the win. Shock went two innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on seven hits. Avery Beall pitched for the Black Knights and went the whole way, allowing 13 hits and seven earned runs. She walked one and struck out six. Van Buren dropped to 4-5.
