BLACK KNIGHTS END SEASON AS DISTRICT RUNNER-UPS
Van Buren Varsity Black Knights couldn't keep up with Patrick Henry and fell 13-3 on Friday at Napoleon Junior/Senior High School.
A single by Finn Martin on an 0-2 count put Van Buren Varsity Black Knights on the board in the top of the first.
Van Buren Varsity Black Knights added one run in the second after Martin grounded into a fielder's choice.
Van Buren Varsity Black Knights added zero runs in the third. Reid Cramer singled to center field, making the score 3-0.
Patrick Henry flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
